ALEXANDER WANG

ADIDAS By ALEXANDER WANG

Photographic and art direction project for the Adidas capsule by Alexander Wang

Alexander Wang x Adidas - Art Direction & Shooting

The goal of the project was to translate this identity into a contemporary visual narrative, capable of highlighting the sneaker as both an iconic object and a symbol of a dynamic, experimental street culture. The art direction revolves around a minimal and industrial aesthetic, where strong lighting contrasts, textured surfaces, and graphic compositions emphasize the product’s silhouette.

This art direction and shooting project explores the intersection between Alexander Wang’s provocative aesthetic and Adidas’ sportswear heritage. The collaboration between the two brands is known for its subversive approach to sportswear: flipped logos, deconstructed details, and a visual language that challenges traditional design conventions.

The shoot plays with close-up perspectives, technical details, and body movement to accentuate the tension between performance and fashion. The sneaker becomes the protagonist of a visual story that combines urban energy, fashion attitude, and a strong editorial sensibility.

The result is a series of images that celebrate the hybrid identity of the collaboration: sport and club culture, functionality and provocation, graphic rigor and visual experimentation. A project that reflects the disruptive spirit of the partnership, transforming the product into a powerful and distinctive communication element.
