JESUS
Starting from the vast iconographic heritage associated with the figure of Jesus, the project deconstructs familiar visual codes and recomposes them through abstraction, typography and experimental composition. The goal is not to produce a devotional representation, but rather to question the relationship between symbolism, image and collective memory.
“Jesus” is a visual research project exploring the reinterpretation of one of the most recognizable figures in Western cultural imagery. The project investigates how a symbol deeply rooted in religious tradition can be translated into a contemporary visual language through graphic design and art direction.
Ventie30 developed the art direction and graphic design, building a visual system that plays with contrast between sacred iconography and contemporary graphic aesthetics. Minimal forms, bold compositions and controlled visual distortions create a tension between tradition and reinterpretation.
Conceived as a research-driven project, “Jesus” reflects on how historical and religious symbols continue to circulate within visual culture, opening new possibilities for graphic experimentation and critical observation.
