MRE Identity and Communication
The campaign’s core message, “We transform your passion into professionalism”, is echoed visually throughout the design. The primary color palette of yellow, red, green, and black recalls the familiar tools of proofreading, emphasizing both precision and clarity. Typography itself is treated as a visual element: the alphabet, fundamental to the editor’s craft, is displayed in its purest form, serving as both structure and ornament within the page. Generous white space reinforces this sense of clarity, reflecting a meticulous attention to detail and the formal elegance that defines the excellence of Urbino’s editorial program.
Master in Editorial Writing – University of Urbino
The visual identity for the Master in Editorial Writing (MRE) at the University of Urbino was conceived to embody the contemporary editor a professional capable of navigating the precise structures of editorial work while embracing the fluid energy of literary creativity. This identity seeks to capture the transformative journey from passion to professionalism, giving form to the invisible processes behind writing, editing, and content creation. At the heart of the concept lies the interplay between chaos and order. The organic, gestural forms scribbles and circles represent the raw material of publishing: the nascent idea, the unfinished manuscript, the tireless research, and the passion that drives one toward the editorial profession. These elements are balanced by a rigorous typographic grid, where letters and text blocks in black and red act as organizing forces. They symbolize the editor’s hand shaping the chaos into clarity, readability, and ultimately, market-ready content.
Ultimately, this identity goes beyond presenting a course; it defines an attitude. It celebrates the editor’s ability to look at a text and, through method and discipline, reveal its definitive form, transforming raw creative energy into structured, meaningful communication.
