Matteo Nanni — Equilibrio Senza Tempo
The visual identity we developed enhances the conceptual core of the work: equilibrium without time. Minimal yet expressive, the identity finds balance between presence and restraint, emphasizing the richness of the photographs without overwhelming them. The color palette, typographic choices, and signature graphic elements work in concert to create a calm, reflective space that invites the viewer to engage with each image and its silent rhythm.
Editorial Design & Complete Art Direction
Equilibrio Senza Tempo is an editorial project that reflects the poetic world of photographer Matteo Nanni a body of work where composition, light, and emotion converge to explore tension and harmony beyond the confines of time. This publication was conceived as more than a book: it is a carefully crafted visual experience that holds space for Nanni’s imagery while shaping its narrative through intentional design. Our studio led the project at every level, bringing together a cohesive art direction, visual identity, editorial layout, material research, typography, and production strategy. From the first conceptual sketches to the final printed artifact, each design choice was informed by a deep dialogue with the photographer’s vision, with the goal of creating a publication that is both expressive and rigorously refined.
In the editorial layout, we carefully choreographed the flow of the pages to mirror the rhythm of Nanni’s photography. Every spread has been crafted to respect the inherent balance in the work playing with scale, negative space, and sequence to foster a fluid, contemplative reading experience. Typography and grid systems were designed to support the visual narrative, articulating relationships between images, text, and silence.

Equilibrio Senza Tempo stands as a testament to thoughtful editorial design a harmonious integration of form and content, where every choice amplifies meaning. It is a project born from collaboration, guided by clarity of vision and a shared commitment to creating a work that feels both timeless and immediate.
Material decisions were equally intentional. We selected paper stocks and finishes that enhance the tactile quality of the publication, reinforcing the physical presence of the object while honoring the subtleties of tone, texture, and light that define Matteo Nanni’s photography.
