Millefoglie – Editorial Project & Holistic Design
Our studio guided the entire creative process from concept to completion, shaping a unified vision that connects identity, design and content. The work began with a clear conceptual framework that established the emotional and intellectual rhythm of the publication, laying the foundation for every design choice that followed.
Millefoglie is an editorial project conceived as a layered exploration of form, narrative and material presence much like its namesake, where depth and texture unfold through accumulation. At its core, the project seeks to transform ideas into a tangible experience that engages visually, intellectually and sensorially.
The visual identity we developed expresses this conceptual intent through a language that balances precision and openness. The identity system functions as a flexible yet coherent structure, capable of supporting the project’s diverse voices while reinforcing its central idea of layered meaning.
In the editorial design and layout, we carefully choreographed typography, grids, and visual sequences to reflect the interplay between structure and narrative flow. Each spread was thoughtfully composed to guide the reader through a journey where focus and reflection alternate with moments of visual resonance. The design prioritizes clarity without sacrificing richness, creating a rhythm that is both expressive and readable.

In addition to visual design, we also curated the written content, giving careful attention to tone, clarity and narrative coherence. Texts were treated as essential elements of the design, working in harmony with images and layouts to articulate meaning and guide interpretation.
Millefoglie stands as a testament to a design process where identity, narrative and materiality converge to create a cohesive editorial work. It is a project in which every layer concept, design, text and texture contributes to a harmonious whole, inviting the reader into a thoughtfully composed and richly expressive experience.
The choice of materials and paper was integral to the project’s sensory impact. We selected stocks with distinctive tactile qualities that enhance the experience of handling the publication, reinforcing its presence as a crafted object. Texture, weight and finish were all considered as extensions of the visual and conceptual language.
