Statue Libere – Editorial & Visual Design Direction

From the very first sketches to the final layouts, I guided our team in defining a visual language that balances structure with expressive detail. Through meticulous art direction, strategic layout design, and thoughtful typographic and graphic choices, we created an editorial experience that feels both immersive and deliberate. Each page, spread and visual element was crafted to echo the conceptual threads tying the exhibition together, transforming printed material into an extension of the gallery space itself.

As Creative Director on STATUE LIBERE, my objective was to shape a cohesive editorial universe around a collective of contemporary artists Wilhelm Gunkel, Mauro Lima, Daniel Robert and Dimitry Bayer presented at the Gabh AC Contemporary Art Gallery in Berlin. This project went beyond simple presentation: it was about imagining and executing an editorial and visual framework capable of amplifying each artist’s voice while giving the exhibition a clear visual identity.

The end result is a compelling visual and editorial narrative that not only documents the exhibition but expands its presence inviting audiences to engage deeply with the artworks and ideas presented. This project highlights our ability to merge strategic vision with refined visual execution, setting a tone that resonates across formats and enhances the cultural impact of the show.
