The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC), headquartered in Pully, Switzerland near the Olympic capital of Lausanne is the international governing body for baseball and softball. Representing a unified global movement, the WBSC brings together 198 national federations and 13 associate members across 138 countries and territories in Asia, Africa, the Americas, Europe, and Oceania. This vibrant community encompasses over 65 million athletes and draws approximately 150 million fans to stadiums worldwide each year.
WBSC oversees all official international competitions involving national teams. Its portfolio includes the Premier12, the World Baseball Classic, age-group World Cups (U-12, U-15, U-18, U-23, and Women’s), as well as softball World Cups for men, women, U-23 men, U-18 men and women, U-15 women, and mixed U-12 teams. Additionally, WBSC governs Baseball5 events and all baseball, softball, and Baseball5 competitions at the Olympic Games.
